What is actually happening inside?

Through breathing we guide the body into a state where the innate self-healing capability is activated.
We treat the body through the body and that is exactly why this method is so powerful.

01

Thinking, feeling and breathing are directly connected.
We all know that it is very difficult to change our thoughts and feelings in the moment.
But our breathing can be changed in an instant, with direct consequences for both our feelings and our thinking.
This is mainly because our breathing acts as an important feedback system for both our emotional and physical state.
With breathing we can regulate our emotions , influence our thoughts and change our physical state.

02

Our breathing has the ability to modulate and change our biochemistry , altering the balance between oxygen and carbon dioxide.
This shift affects the transport of oxygen transport and ciculation of the blood to our organs and tissues.
Consequently, this activation triggers a transformative impact on the nervous system and muscles.

03

Emotions are a psychological energy that expresses itself in a physical manner. All of our experiences inherently contain a physical component.
Our nervous system and muslces express the emotions or they hold them within, suppress our emotions.
Consequently, this energy becomes immobilized within the body, expressing itself as tensions and blockages in the muscles and nervous system.
Over time, the accumulation of these stress, can lead to severe medical complications in the long term.
Mainly due to poor blood flow, reduced flexibility, reduced nerve conduction,...
Stress, either psychological or physical, underlies a broad spectrum of medical complications.

04

Through the practice of transformative breathing, we initiate a shift in the balance of our oxygen/carbon dioxide which extends into a change of the stae of our muscles and nervous system.
In short, by breathing we create a complete transformation of the physical and mental state.
Therefor we made the ideal conditions for inner peace and balance.

Contra-indicaties for breath therapy

"People with the following conditions should exercise caution, notify the breathing coach, and seek professional advice before participating in this form of breathwork:

  1. Cardiovascular Conditions
Heart diseases: Individuals with angina, arrhythmias, or a history of heart attacks are at risk of overloading the cardiovascular system during intensive breathing sessions.
Uncontrolled high blood pressure: This can lead to dangerous spikes in blood pressure due to increased stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system.

  2. Pregnancy
Pregnancy (especially in the third trimester): Breathwork can increase stress on the mother’s body and potentially pose risks for the baby, such as reduced blood flow.

  3. Psychiatric Conditions
Schizophrenia or psychotic disorders: Breathwork can provoke intense emotional and psychological reactions, posing risks for individuals with these conditions.
Bipolar disorder (manic episodes): Breathing sessions may exacerbate emotional instability.
Severe anxiety disorders or panic disorders: Intensive breathwork can worsen symptoms due to hyperventilation.

  4. Epilepsy
Seizures: Changes in oxygen and CO2 levels due to connected breathing can trigger a seizure.

  5. COPD and Respiratory Conditions
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or asthma: Breathing exercises can cause shortness of breath or hyperventilation, especially if respiratory capacity is limited.
Hyperventilation syndrome: Individuals prone to hyperventilation should be cautious, as connected breathing often leads to increased breathing volume.

  6. Recent Trauma or Surgery
Physical trauma or recent surgeries: Intensive breathing sessions can disrupt the recovery process or exacerbate physical pain.
Post-operative phase: It is important to wait until complete healing is achieved before participating in intensive breathing exercises.

  7. Eye Problems
Glaucoma or retinal detachment: Increased pressure in the head during certain breathing patterns can heighten the risk of complications with these conditions.

  8. Migraines and Cluster Headaches
Chronic headaches: Breathing sessions can trigger headache attacks due to intense changes in oxygen levels.

  9. Psychosomatic or Emotional Instability
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD): Conscious connected breathing (CCB) can provoke intense emotional reactions, potentially intensifying trauma responses if the person is unprepared.
Depression: Although breathwork can help in some cases, it can also be overwhelming for individuals in deep depression without proper guidance.

  10. Compromised Physical Health
Illness or exhaustion: People who are physically weak or exhausted risk overloading their bodies due to the intensity of the breathwork.
Osteoporosis: Strong breathing movements can cause damage to fragile bones.

  11. Pacemaker or Other Medical Implants
Individuals with pacemakers or other electronic implants: Increased physiological activity during breathwork may interfere with these devices.

  12. Glucose Intolerance and Diabetes
Unstable diabetes: Breathwork can affect metabolism and lead to fluctuations in blood sugar levels, which can be dangerous for individuals with untreated or unstable diabetes.

If you relate to any of the above situations, please contact the breathing coach for a tailored breath program!

In all cases, it is important for individuals with the above complications to consult a doctor or specialist before starting breath therapy.

We strive for the highest safety for all our participants; professional guidance and thorough information in advance ensure the comfort and safety of everyone."
